Sewing Machines

I finally finished the mending. Seemed like the pile just kept getting bigger and bigger with everyone contributing. But at least the family can be modest wearing their jeans. I guess that means I can work on a sewing project. It is to hot to do anything outside.

  1. I am so happy to find your blog today :)

Hearing about the mending, reminded me of my mom's sewing machine that sat on the laundry room floor. She would say, if you have any hemming or mending that needs done, set them on top of the sewing machine, and I will fix them when I get to it. She never EVER got to it. So eventually we would go back to the pile, pick up our item, and pin it or, roll it or tuck it, in some way to wearability, and moved on.

For this, you receive 3 gold stars :)

I still so love and adore the blanket you made for me those years ago with the red flannel and the flower print I picked out. We sleep with it every day. I do hope to one day have one for my Scarlett too, but have somehow inherited my moms lack of furvor in the craft department.... what to do? :)

sending my love, from sunny California..
